Balanced Living - out of balance!

It's fascinating, but every now and then I'm reminded of the importance to get OUT OF BALANCE regularly in order to find a healthy, balanced lifestyle you will enjoy.

Thank you, Kristi, for forwarding this reminder today. The Dream Movie...only takes about 4 minutes to watch, but the inspiration you get from it just might last a few hours (or days!). I understood, watching the movie, listening to the music, and reflecting on each person, that it can almost be a "requirement" that things get  OUT of balance so that we are directed toward finding a way to make things happen in a way that supports us, and is sustainable.

Over breakfast this morning, I met with a local business owner who is creating an institute here in Ojai. Listening to his story - albeit briefly - of taking almost two decades' worth of experience and delivering that in a workshop setting was inspiring, and at the same time a bit daunting.

People want change. They seek development. We are willing to put ourselves in position to take significant measures to improve. Sitting down at my work-station this afternoon, I'm really curious to see what gets worked on with this new view in mind:

What would be of high benefit to focus on right now?

I think when most people talk of balance they are imagining a static state where everything is stable and they do not have to do anything to mantain it. In life this just does not happen. I prefer the definition of balance as "The ability to maintain bodily equilibrium", it implies a more dynamic reactive state. The balance people seek should be an adaptive, responsive life not one of stagnation.
