I'm on my way to a seminar, and got inspired by Seth Godin

If you have :30 seconds to read something that JUST may change your day, click on Seth Godin's blog today.

Here's the beginning part.

Getting vs. Taking

Most people spend a lot of time to get an education.

They wait for the teacher (hopefully a great one) to give them something of value.

Many employees do the same thing at work. They wait for a boss (hopefully a great one) to give them responsibility or authority or experiences that add up to a career.

As I get ready to pack up from the coffee shop I'm working in right now (photos to come!), I am inspired to be the kind of teacher that GIVES.

I am going to walk in to a room of 31 professionals here in Washington DC. Policy makers, information providers, researchers, analysts...people making things possible (sound familiar???). I'm glad a took :30 seconds to get a bit inspired this morning. Thanks Seth!
