Are you engaged with and by your interests?
I continue to learn a thing or two about my own professional development from customer relations theory and practice. Here's one I picked up today: If there is some behavior I'm looking to change, I have to "sense-sationalize" it.

I read a great article by Jessica Tsai (wwwmdestinationCRM.com) while enjoying part of my ReadingDay (more on THAT sometime soon). Read this:

"The average consumer is hit with 1,600 commercial impressions a day..."

All right, let's just imagine: If you are looking to enhance some professional strength (organization, for example...or perhaps public speaking...) consider making just 1% of those commercial ads actual ideas you WANT to reinforce. And, make them sensory rich; listen, watch, read, experience your ideas of change...

You're noticing more than you notice every day. So, plan to make what you DO notice more of what you WANT to notice. Make sense?
