Look around...Does what you're doing match what you said you'd be doing?

Thanks for the picture, Swamibu...
Over the past week, I spent a few hours with my dad as he and I working on our next project together (hint: we've been doing a LOT of writing!).
In our work together, we discussed the concept of people feeling like they are "winning" in the workplace. Do tell, are you feeling like what you're doing is on course, on purpose, and directed at a meaningful direction? We understand the importance of slowing down just enough to clarify what it is you're working on, what completion will look like, and when (about) you'll be done.
So, as an experiment, take some time and write down 2-4 promises you've made to yourself (or to others). Look very carefully at what it's going to take to get "from where you are" to "where you want to be." Consider writing these "projects" down on a piece of paper you can look at weekly (or at least monthly) between now and the time you complete that agreement.
Our coaching (if we could be so bold!) would be to ask yourself some very introspective questions such as:
Where did I say I would be by now?
What do I need to do next to gain or regain my momentum?
Do this weekly, and watch your productivity (and motivation!) soar!
