After-Work get together on Monday, in London, England

Meet at 6:30pm, in the lobby/bar area of the Marriott at India Quay on Monday, 2 June for an after-work social. Let's start the week on a high note by meeting up to share some stories as we all get ready for summer! (Depending on the weather, I will be leading a 5-mile run starting at 5pm. E-mail me if you are interested in joining!)

Visiting Austin, TX...any advice?

Well, I thought I'd call on this community (there are quite a few people reading this blog daily...thank you! Please spread the word...) and ask:

Any ideas of things to do/places to go/people to meet in Austin, Texas? I'm here from Wednesday through Sunday night...

(It's our "family reunion" time...38 of us meeting at Barton Creek!)

Thanks in advance!

American Airlines...let's use those miles!

Do you Travel a LOT?

If you have any extra American Airlines miles, and want to know what else you can use them for, click on my friend Robert's blog post...it might be worth the few minutes it takes to read!

Here's my balance...I'm going to go see what I can do!

Off to Costa Rica...back to blogging soon!

NaturegazingI'm heading out of the country...again...to Costa Rica!

I am SO looking forward to learning more about this place (a place that is quickly becoming a second home to me).

Living in Mexico twice, and Argentina once, in the 90's gave me the ability to speak Spanish fluently. Visiting now, with time to learn about the countries of Central and South America while getting to know new friends there, is absolutely incredible.

Visiting North Los Angeles anytime?

I received this note from a fellow runner and work colleague and thought I'd pass it on here. Since I travel a bit, and am always learning more about the different cities I visit, I wanted anyone traveling to this side of the world to have access to this information. I have already learned a whole bunch about my "own back yard!" (Thanks, Dan!)

Enjoy...

Hi all –

Last September I put together a website for my local homeowner group and started noticing that most of the traffic came from search engines and the local community.  So this weekend I changed the site around and renamed it www.ConejoValleyGuide.com to reflect the broader audience.

This is just a hobby but I take the site seriously, adding content such as local events, activities, advice and other personal ramblings every week.  The site may come in handy for you and anyone you forward the link to.  It can be particularly useful to those with kids (like me) as we are always looking for new things to do with them.

Thanks for checking it out!

Remembering my Córdoba, Argentina days...

Remembering my Córdoba, Argentina days...
I lived in Argentina back in 1997, long before my interest in biking started. Yesterday, Juan Jose Hurtado (from Argentina) finished first in stage one of the Tour of California.

I am planning to see the time trials in Solvang, and then the sprint and climb later this week when they come through Ojai (yes, our little Ojai will see the racers for a few minutes as they pass through "super fast!").

Is anyone planning to attend the ECO:nomics Conference in Santa Barbara?

I saw an advert for this conference (ECO:nomics Creating Environmental Capital) and thought to see if anyone is coming out to the Santa Barbara area for this conference. If so, let me know...perhaps a "meet and greet" over dinner in Ojai is in the works!

I'm so glad I know it's not about TIME management

Every now and then, the universe comes together in a way to remind me of why I am so interested and dedicated to sharing productivity techniques, tools and strategies with "current reality" in mind.

You see, I had set today up weeks ago to be an easy-to-get through day. I was going to arrive at the Los Angeles Airport early (I did) and fly to Dallas. I was going to have plenty of time for a lay over (I did) and then take a 4pm flight to Raleigh.

Then, my 4pm was canceled, and now my 8'ish pm is delayed. So, can you see what I mean about the title to this post?
Delayed

The question to ask myself is not, "How can I manage the next few hours of time?" Instead, it IS, "What will I do between now and the time I land in Raleigh so I can be fresh for the stage at 8am?"

On to the next thing...dinner!
