What if what is could be better?
Are things going well for you? If so, keep on reading. Sometimes the way things are going are going because that's the way they are going...make sense?
If you've ever followed that philospophy, it got you to where you were. However, if improvement is part of the game, we might have to review the rules. Setting a goal doesn't have to wait; you don't need an excuse to identify what you want. In fact, here are three of "Jason's Rules" to getting what you want:
1) Decide what it is.
2) Write it down as if it's already true.
3) Review it regularly.
1) Decide what it is. This means you'll have to do some thinking, writing or talking. Sometimes, it's easier to escond yourself to some quiet location and just let the pen fly across the paper. Other times, it's fingers stricking a computer keyboard. Personally, I love using something like CyberSecretaries to capture my thinking...so then I can go back and discover exactly what it was that I was saying.
2) Write it down as if it's already true. Yes, seriously. I'm a fan of the 3X5 note card. I also write these sentances on the mirrors of hotels I stay in. I want to read what I want, as I've already got it, so I start to move toward it.
3) Review it regularly. As many times a day as possible. Napolean Hill taught me this one; and, I've never looked back. Now, of course, I don't read my goal hundreds of times each day...but, once in the morning and once at night is a nice start.
So, literally, this is what I looked at 2-4 times a day while I stayed in this hotel...the "words" change every stay, but the intention is always there...
Stu,
I use the Expo (dry erase) pens... I even got the "nice-smelling" ones!
It works great, and I can wipe the mirror clean when I check out!

Hey Jason,
That is a great idea about writing it on the mirror. What do you use?? In all seriousness though I am a big believer in writing your goals down as if they already happened... I AM/I HAVE. I once heard that if you do something for 21 straight days it becomes a habit. Everyone should definately make this a habit.
Keep up the great work. If you ever get to Philly look me up.
