For those of us who wake up engaged, inspired or ready for the day... What do you think about that title?
I'm open to hearing what you think about a question I read in an e-mail I received this morning. A longer note, I'll copy the question that encouraged me to write this blog entry here:
How do you make time for all the things you want to do?
If we had time for all the things we want to do, the world - our world - would be a very different place. If we had the money to buy the things we wanted, the relationships to feel what we wanted, the resources to create what we wanted...
But...we don't. And, that's the beauty of it! Think for a moment, who DOES have enough time? You'll have your answer, here's the one I've come up with...
People who have enough time are the ones who don't have all that much to do. And, since you and I (the kind of people who would read this blog) DO have TOO MUCH to do, we're given an opportunity:
We have to choose what NOT to focus on during the day.
Isn't that a challenge? I mean, think for a moment about all the things you are not going to do today. (As I write this, I'm in the Admiral's Club at JFK Airport, on a rainy Saturday morning. I will take off around 12 noon, spend 5.5+ hours in the air, and make my way by bus toward Ventura County, CA).
So, instead of focusing on what I am doing (right now I'm at the computer), I'll pause for a moment and decide what NOT to do today. I've got my "stop-doing" list, how about you?
Good post.Keep up the excellent word
Love & Gratitude,
Tina

When I'm faced with a period of time where I know I have more things to get done and not enough time, I like to challenge myself.
I will ask, "OK, I have 55 min. until my meeting, let's see how many things I can get done and checked off my list in that 55 min."
This makes it fun and a challenge!
