I know I look out at the world differently than a lot of the people I work with and around. I naturally look for (and find!) connections...what is over here, what is over there, and how they might be able to go together.
So, when I saw this article in Entrepreneur.com some time ago, I let the thinking begin.
The title is: "5 Branding Myths Debunked" I really think Ms. Starr Hall did a great job!
So, what I did was look them over, and gave myself a bit of time (and journal space) to come up with what I see as the equivalents in "self-management."
Myth 1: Offering a consistent and great product will produce a successful business.
(I won't write them all out here, I'll just share my thoughts about this one...)

In my work as an executive coach, I regularly get to sit down with leaders in large organizations as the look toward their next promotion. One of the areas we address (thanks go to my mentor Marshall Goldsmith for framing this so elegantly and eloquently) is: What Got You Here, Won't Get You There.
