What's in a name?
Or, How important is vocabulary?
How many of you grew up surrounded by a group of friends of siblings? If you were anything like us, you were part of a "secret club," complete with handshakes, code words and hide-outs. Nowadays, companies seem to be replicating that model with their products, their services, the experience we have when we get there.
Those of you who have been reading this blog for a while know that I travel...a lot. (I just passed 137,000 air miles on the year.)
Well, whenever I have time - on the phone, or with a pilot or flight attendant - I ask, "What kinds of things do frequent fliers ask you about, that I might not know?"
Just like knowing what coffee shop calls a medium a grande, there's probably something specific to each airline.
Oh, and now my ah-ha: I think each team/department/organization has their own "codes." Call each other on them, and see if you don't save some time during conversations!
